on cloud nine

i don't really have words for the fantastic things i have experienced in the past couple of days. i keep thinking i am going to wake and discover this magic was all just a pleasant dream, but that hasn't happened. i know such waves of euphoria aren't always long-lasting, but this feels wonderful enough to ride out until there is no choice but to crash (i have had a habit, over the past several years, of not taking such risks... and of walking around armored and cautious).

i am trying to not create too much desire and to not set myself up for disappointment, but at the moment, i want this to work and to last.
